Day 24

Happy 4th of July!

We started the day off lazily (which was absolutely lovely).  Then Gabe came over and helped us move some more things and hang some curtains.  I'm sure he was  just thrilled that he came over early to hang out.

Then we left for The Varsity followed by a Braves game!

"The One with Gabe very excited for onion rings and slaw dogs"
Jordan:  he loves the varsity, he gets it from my Dad...
Josh: He should love it. It is great. Good food, and good headwear.
"The One with Josh in his fun new hat"
Jordan: I think eating there was worth the stomach aches we both still have right now...
Josh: There is something special about the Varsity before a Braves game.
"The one with Josh and Gabe sitting very close"
Jordan: This is a bench we found on the wait to the stadium... there really are no words to describe this picture.
Josh: Sometimes it is best to sit down and take a break to reflect while walking from the car to the stadium. Why else would there be a bench here.
"The one with Jordan practicing for training"
Jordan: This was by the bench from the previous picture, I couldn't resist.  I have to work on my preacher look.
Josh: Jordan is ready to preach. Held an open air, and Gabe was the evangelist. He was making new friends every time we turned around. He is just so likable and approachable.
"The one with us at the stadium on the 4th of July!"
Jordan: 2 years in a row...I think we need to make it a tradition...do we have plans next 4th of July?
Josh: I'm down with making this a tradition. It might be difficult one day when we don't live in Atlanta.
"The one with the Flag shaped like the U.S.A."
Jordan:  it was a really nice moment, i am thankful for all of those who have worked so hard to make this country what it is today.
Josh: Jordan was singing I'm Proud to Be an American all day long. In all seriousness, this was a very nice presentation honoring those who serve our country. I am so grateful for the freedom we enjoy. May we never take it for granted.
"The One with the Stormy Clouds"
Jordan:  The clouds were like this pretty much the whole game.  It rained off and on and we definitely saw some lightning.  We made it through the whole game though without a delay and we still had fireworks!  Hoooray!
Josh: I was not sure we would get in the entire game. The umbrellas came out and everyone ran for cover, but it did end up being a great night.
"The one with Josh and Jordan waiting for fireworks to start"
Jordan:  We won! Freddie Freeman hit two home runs! It was a great night.
Josh: Braves win! Braves win!

"The one with the fireworks"
Jordan: They did a really nice job with the fireworks, better than I remember last year.
Josh: Even in the rain the fireworks were superb. The walk back to the car in the rain, not so hot.

A special "Thanks" to Gabe for spending the day with us! (since we know you are now an avid reader of our blog)
