Day 63

Actual Date:  Friday, August 12th

A day to Remember...

Today was a long but mostly good day.  The day started with a gracious living class where I learned which forks to use and helpful hints for fancy dinners so I won't embarrass myself in the future.   Then I headed to my computer class and received my new computer.  It was pretty exciting. During this time Josh was working hard doing the kind of things the property and home people do.

"The one with the cleaning orientation"
Jordan: After lunch we learned all about cleaning supplies.  It was actually pretty interesting...then we cleaned!   My area is the band room, break room, and break room bathrooms. They have this product called Wow! Wow is amazing..it cleans everything and cleans it fast..
Josh: Greg came out from Original 7 to explain the products. He was such a nice guy, and he is a West Georgia alum. Then we started to get this campus clean.

After cleaning we headed to dinner and had a Welcome Scavenger Hunt and Game show hosted by the Friends of Christ.

"The one with the game night"
Jordan:  This was towards the beginning of the night, the teams were divided by where you were from.  Everyone had the opportunity to participate..even the kids. Some of the challenges were pretty gross but it was a whole lot of fun! .... until the Cinnamon.
Josh: The Friends of Christ have been great to the Proclaimers of the Resurrection. I am sure everyone feels welcomed after this night.
"The one before Jordan made the biggest mistake of her life"
Jordan: It was my turn to participate and we were supposed to eat a tablespoon full of Cinnamon.   My group told me to put it all the way in the back of my throat. It was terrible.  I can't explain exactly what it feels like but it thickens and it burns and you can't spit it out.  I was coughing up cinnamon, it was coming out of my nose and my ears throughout the night.........yuck.
Josh: I don't like this one. She was miserable the rest of the night.

All in All it was a wonderful evening...and I am grateful that I will be able to spend the next year with these great people!
