Happy 2 months of being married to us :)
We celebrated like this...
"the one with the training orientation"
Jordan: I had the wonderful opportunity of spending my whole day in this room. We learned all about the different departments, did some exercising with Kevin, Some singing with Captain Lee, and went over each detail of what we are allowed to wear. Plus, the very cute and smart Lt. Josh Hinson talked to us about cars, and doing our details, and gave us lots of rules. He was my favorite...
Josh: This is the scene during break. After the break I reminded the cadets that they are somebody. When they see something on campus that needs to be done and they say to themselves, "Somebody should do something about that," I encouraged to remember they are somebody. Thanks Major Cindy Corbitt for reminding me of this speech.
"The one with Bernie"
Jordan: I got to lunch and there was the amazing Bernie Dake. He had come to see Josh in the morning and talk to him about fun stuff like soundboards. It was great to see him!
Josh: Look at this guy. He always has a great story to tell. Today the stories were about TYI and TMI. It sounds like God worked many miracles during those weeks. We also discussed sound. So now I should get less death stares from the principal due to AV mistakes. Thanks brother. Laura, Bernie said we can come over to the house for dinner soon. Just let us know when.
"The one with our home"
Jordan: Tonight while Josh was out playing basketball I stayed home and did some writing and reading, cleaning and praying. I took some time to really think about how blessed I am to have this place to live and these new friends, and the time to re-unite with old friends. I also sat down at the kitchen table and really felt like I was home. It was nice.
Josh: Home sweet home.
Jordan and Josh, Welcome to this next chapter. (Wow, so many new chapters lately.) I love what you have done with your house - making it a home - I know you will have found memories of this 'first place'.
ReplyDeleteMany prayers for you both!
Love,
Aunt Melody
